Trace Adkins' entourage hates his long hair, according to Trace himself. While doing a radio interview recently, Adkins admitted that he wears it back in a ponytail because his label and his publicist don't like it down.
"My management company and the record label and my publicist, they all hate it when it's down. They absolutely hate it. They just hate it when it's down, so I wear it down just to make ‘em mad," Adkins said.
What is the deal with this? Why does the Nashville machine try so hard to control its artists? Not that I'm saying I'd like to see a guy with hair flowing down around his shoulders singing "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk" or "One Hot Mama." Anyway, Adkins did say he would consider a new ‘do.
"If I ever do cut my hair, it's gonna be a crew cut, G.I. I'll go from one low-maintenance 'do to another low-maintenance 'do. I'm not ever gonna carry a blow dryer on the road with me...ever," Adkins said.
