Albums

T-Pain enters the Billboard Albums Chart at #1 this week with his latest effort, Epiphany. Rihanna could only manage second place with Good Girl Gone Bad, despite the fact that her song "Umbrella" is on every 14 seconds and she looks ridiculously hot in the video. In third place this week is the legendary Paul McCartney, who was no doubt helped by the fact that his album was featured prominently at Starbuck's across the nation. For all we know, Starbuck's could've slipped some chemical agent in the mocha lattes that made people love adult contemporary music. It wouldn't surprise me.

In other news, reggaeton superstar Daddy Yankee debuts at #9 with his album El Cartel: The Big Boss. Daddy Yankee is a good friend of mine from way back, so I asked him to give his thoughts on this week's album charts. Here's what he said:

Hey compinche.

Sounds good!

Singles

The Plain White T's came seemingly out of nowhere - though in actuality, it was 16th place - to enter the top ten of the Singles Chart this week.

There were few other changes, so I'll keep this short and to the point...

We've all heard Rihanna's "Umbrella" by this point. You know the end of the chorus, where she sings "Umbrella... ella ella... eh eh eh?" Listen closely to the "eh eh eh" part and try to imagine a seal clapping its flippers together, calling out for a fish to eat. I love Rihanna, I love the song, and I'm not trying to insinuate that Rihanna is in fact a seal, but... yeah.

Here are your top ten singles of the week...

1) Rihanna featuring Jay-Z "Umbrella"

2) Shop Boyz "Party Like a Rockstar"

3) T-Pain featuring Yung Joc "Buy U A Drank (Shawty Snappin')"

7) Avril Lavigne "Girlfriend"
