Trent Tomlinson has been doing some funky covers lately, especially for a country artist. Tomlinson spoke with The Chicago Sun-Times, who quoted Tomlinson in regards to his cover of "Pruple Rain," Prince's smash hit. Tomlinson said, "'Purple Rain' is one of the greatest pop albums ever made. It always gets a great response from the tip jar."
Tomlinson also said he and his band, which includes original Black Crowes guitar player Jeff Cease, have been covering Black Crowes songs lately.
