The Police have added some more dates onto their reunion tour, which should rake in some of the biggest tour numbers of the year. Funny thing is, guitarist Andy Summers says this ain't no reunion.
"It just all sounds non-creative to me. The kind of chemistry in our band, there's no reunion. It's like, 'OK, we're back together, how do we make this work on all levels?' In a sense, it feels more like a new band. It doesn't feel like some old band and we're just going to kind of try to remember the way the old songs went and do them just like that. That wasn't the spirit that made The Police what it was," Summers said.
He's right, too. In fact, scientific evidence shows that the spirit that made The Police was the same spirit that sucked all of the fun and volatility out of punk and new wave.
Moving on, the band has added another performance in the good old Canadian
city of Toronto,
where they've already played two sold out shows.
