Students at a Maine high school are protesting the gangs at their school, most notably, the "Carnival Killers", who they want the school to forcibly "split up" while the gang "denounces themselves". However, the principal says they're not a gang....

Hence, the trouble between student protestors and principal Richard Wilson at Skowhegan Area High School.

The students say "Carnival Killers" are "a group that dresses in black, dyes their hair black and purple, wears chains and makeup and has taken such a violent moniker is a gang, plain and simple."

The clearly unbiased paper reporting this story let readers know Insane Clown Posse's songs are "graphically violent and obscene". Good to know they can decide what is and isn't "obscene".

The principal, however, refuses to label the gang. He said, "gang by definition is a group with violent intentions" and has not seen violence from the Carnival Killers.

Both sides -- the students protesting, and the "Carnival Killers" are claiming "abuse" from the other side, and the principal appears shocked that these problems are even going on. Meanwhile, the rest of the world is shocked that there are still people who think Insane Clown Posse fans -- or people who dress differently -- are "gangs".

Not surprisingly, the "leader" of the "gang" says he -- and others -- were picked on for how they dressed and he wanted some sort of affiliation to fight back on behalf on the "nerds" and other people who were bullied by the students protesting their mere existence.

Holy crap am I glad I graduated high school so many years ago. It sucked then, but at least I wasn't considered a "gang member" because I dyed my hair and listened to "weird music". Well, good luck, ICP fans... because the news that you're all deadly gangbangers on par with the Crips and the Bloods is spreading around the country like wildfire.
