These dates are spread around on off dates from their egregious tour with Maroon 5. Apparently, they actually wanted to play for some people who appreciate real music, and booked some headline dates. Select cities only, unfortunately....

It may not be ideal, but for those of us in those select cities -- it sure as hell beats the other options which are:

[a] don't see The Hives

[b] Suck it up and give Maroon 5 money, hence, enabling them to keep making music, just to see The Hives.
