April 13th in the Big Apple. Straight from the press release's mouth: "The worlds of art, music, film, surfing and skateboarding will converge at The Happening in New York City on April 13, 2007 in an expression of cultural savoir-faire. This two-part event will feature a select group of artists and photographers exhibiting work based in contemporary beach and street cultures followed by music performances by Mason Jennings, Matt Costa, Emily Haines (of Metric), Money Mark and more. In addition, The Happening will help raise money and awareness for a group of non-profit organizations."

It takes place at both the Milk Gallery and Hiro Ballroom in Manhattan. Those non-profit orgs that are benefitting? RE*Generation Gallery, Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance, National Transplant Assistance Fund, and SurfAid International.
