Pull out your eyeliner and smudge up your favorite red lipstick around your lips - the Cure is back! As we reported earlier, the band is working on a new album and a tour.

Most recently, lead singer Robert Smith is preparing a commemorative DVD documentary to honor the 30th anniversary of their first album. The yet-to-be-named the film will include interviews with past band members and might be directed by Cure's longtime video director Tim Pope who started working with them in 1982. But don't get too excited about it just yet. The release won't be until some time in 2009.

Reissues of the band's albums Disintegration and Wish are slated for 2008, as well as a double-disc for Suretone/Geffen, which will be their 13th release. Until then, catch them on their North American tour.
