The Afters' single "Beautiful Love" was the most downloaded inspirational song of the year according to Nielsen Soundscan. The song took off after the debut of MTV's reality show, "8th and Ocean," which featured "Beautiful Love" as its theme song. The track was sold and downloaded over 90,000 times in six weeks and by the year's end it had almost clocked 200,000 downloads.
The band is currently working on their sophomore album, which remains untitled. Singer and guitar player Josh Havens said, "We're working hard on the new music and taking our time to get it perfect for our fans. We're committed to making the very best album that we can, and I think it will be worth the wait."
