Former Black Sabbath manager and father of Sharon Osbourne, Don Arden, died in a Los Angeles nursing home Saturday, July 21. Arden was 81-years-old.
Arden was the brains behind bands as diverse as Black Sabbath, ELO and the Small Faces, according to Yahoo!.
Sharon became estranged from Arden after she wrestled control of Ozzy's career from him. They later reconciled in 2002 when Arden had developed Alzheimer's.
Arden was apparently known for having a bad temper, which at one point caused him to hang a rival manager from a fourth floor balcony. Good to know Sharon's dad has a little Suge in him. Sharon makes a whole lot more sense to me now.
Arden first entered the biz as a singer and later started managing tours for Gene Vincent and Little Richard.
