"American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest is continuing his domination of all things media by producing a new show based on the life of David Hasselhoff. Seacrest will serve as executive producer on "Tales of the Hoff," which was written by the same guy who wrote "The Drew Carey Show."
Hasselhoff will star as himself. The show will be fictional; however, it will be largely based on The Hoff's real life. E! compares the idea to Larry David's "Curb Your Enthusiasm."
So let's see. The show is being produced by someone who succeeds at everything he does. It's being written by a guy who wrote one of the more successful shows of the past 15 years. It has a similar concept to what is possibly the best show on television, it stars David Hasselhoff and it's called "Tales of the Hoff?" If this isn't a surefire hit, I don't know what is.
Right now, the show is a pilot in development for the E! Network, so it remains to be seen whether it will ever air. But c'mon, we're talking about Hasselhoff here.
Seacrest is also producing a reality show about Kim Kardashian that will premiere on October 14th on E! I never thought I'd say this, but man I'm glad Ryan Seacrest is around. In case you're wondering why I'm looking forward to a reality show about Kim Kardashian, this is why...
Yep.
