Richie McDonald causes drama for Lonestar

Well, it looks like Richie McDonald's split from Lonestar was a bit more complicated than a tuft of arm hair. After being dropped from their label due to weakening album sales, guitarist Michael Britt said the group had a meeting about what their next move should be. McDonald then told the other members that he needed some time to think through things on his own.

Before the rest of the group members heard anything definite from McDonald, he was already talking to the media about his decision to part ways with the group.

"He started leaking it out to the media before we'd even decided to do that. So we're still trying to play catch up to Richie at this point," Britt said.

Britt also said McDonald's actions have caused a bit of a rift in the band.

This will certainly put a damper on that whole bowling thing. Also, I bet these dates below are going to be verrrrrrry awkward for the band, which will continue with McDonald through the end of the year.
