As previously reported, Puddle of Mudd will be releasing a new album on July 24th. However, contrary to previous reports, the album will be titled Famous, and not Living on Borrowed Time. The latter will be the title of a song on the album, but not the album title itself.

(Oddly enough, Living on Borrowed Time has a Wikipedia page and Famous doesn't. But let's refer to the album cover on this one.)

The first single off the album is the title track, "Famous." It's classic Puddle of Mudd... but... the chorus goes, "Money is for nothing and chicks are for free." Really? Why would you ever re-use the chorus of such a huge hit? Either A) people love Dire Straits and think this is a cheesy rip-off, or B) hate Dire Straits and think this is a cheesy rip-off. Either way, to quote the Rocky movies, "You can't win!!"
