Just when we thought it was a tour and run kind of thing, Andy Summers, guitar player for The Police, said the reunited group might be working on a new album soon. I guess things are going particularly well for them.

"It's sort of like living with the elephant in the room. I would see it as a challenge, to make an absolutely brilliant pop album at this stage of our career, and that would be something quite remarkable," Summers said.

Yes, it would be pretty remarkable to achieve the success of the The Police in their heyday - considering their last album went platinum eight times over - but maybe if they can snag a Starbucks deal and keep off each others' nerves , they'll be on the fast track.

For now the band will continue touring on into next year. Summers added that the three haven't discussed recording, but he does see improvement in the band, so it would make sense to record. The band's last show was Saturday in Dublin for a sold-out crowd of 82,000 strong.
