While reports have surfaced that the rest of the guys in Babyshambles are trying to record songs so they have them on hand if Pete gets sent to jail next week, another logical story has made the papers, as well. Apparently, Pete has asked his managers to find him a nice house in the country so he can focus on staying sober and not fall back into his partying ways in London.

 

I don't know what to believe right now. After all, the tabloids told us all last week that Pete was moving in with Shane MacGowan, having lunch with Courtney Love, and sending dead mice to Kate Moss. All from rehab.

 

Pardon me for thinking he wants to have a nice house in the country seems a bit strange....

 

Then again, the word did come from "a pal," as did everything else, so I'm sure it's true.

 

The pal noted, "He loved going away to Kate Moss’s place in the country. She was looking at buying him a place to escape to. But then they split up and he was left living under a motorway flyover. He needs to be outside London so he can concentrate on his songwriting and being a better dad to his son Astile."

 

All sources, pals, and general people who talk to the press incessantly have said Pete is looking well and doing better than he has in quite some time. At least there is some really good news coming the Babyshambles camp, as they prepare to release their new album, Shotter's Nation, in the UK next Monday.
