A young girl from Long Island, NY was tragically killed in a car accident on December 29, 2006. Her friends say that the band Zebrahead was a major influence in her life.
21-year old April Acuri from Baldwin, NY was killed when the truck she was driving struck a tree. One of the things her family and friends remember most about April was her passion for music. She was in a band that played at the legendary CBGB club in New York City. She also had a chance to perform on-stage with the band Zebrahead in 2004, after sending a video to the band. A huge fan of Zebrahead, this performance was "a dream come true" for April, according to her sister.
The funeral for April took place on January 2nd.
