Papa Roach's new video is, well, not really a video at all. It's more like a 4-minute documentary that combines a backstage look at the always-hilarious Bad Boys of Rock Tour with a Fake Live Video for the song "Reckless."
Four things are of note here:
1) What is with Papa Roach and Fake Live videos? They love them.
2) You have to hand it to Papa Roach for getting through that whole nu-metal phase and turning into a straight-up rock band. Don't get me wrong, I like "Last Resort" as much as the next guy, but that nu-metal tag destroyed a lot of careers. So congrats to these guys for making it through.
3) I understand what they're trying to do with this new video, but I'd rather just hear the song without interruption.
4) I've come to expect some pretty straightforward and honest lyrics from P-Roach, but can't we be a little more poetic than the line "Lovin' me ain't easy / Lovin' me is hard?" C'mon guys, you're better than that.
