That's right. They'll be playing for U.S. soldiers abroad -- perhaps even in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Here's their MySpace message:

We're very happy to announce that we will be supporting our troops in the near future by visiting them overseas and by performing some of our tunes for them while there...

Details are not available in regards to this for both obvious and 'classified' reasons...

In all seriousness, we are very grateful for this opportunity, we only hope that our presence there will alleviate some of the pressure they're under, and as well, hopefully, remind them that they have support from so many of us who are back here at home.

We look forward to this very much and will keep all of you in the loop, as much as possible.

Take care all

Benj

More power to them, but this does raise a question: How many of our troops like O.A.R.? Playing Lehigh University every tour is one thing, but a 12-minute version of "Crazy Game of Poker" in front of hardcore mofos in uniform? Interesting call, USO. Interesting call.
