...in Finland.

In other news, recording albums in Finland is cheap, seeing as they're talking approximately $670,000 US.

Tuomas Holopainen said, "We didn't make any compromises that were money-related. Nothing was held back so there is nothing we could've done better."

According to Blabbermouth, a lot of the cost was related to the orchestral parts the band recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London. The band also spent about $362,000 on the promotional videos they did for the album -- but claim that's a good thing, as they saved time and money doing two at once.

As of now, there is over $1,000,000 invested in the band's new album. Dark Passion Play will see release in Finland on September 26th, and the rest of the world on September 28th.

The band has already released a taste of the album, via the first single, "Eva," but they will be releasing another single prior to the album. "Amaranth" will be released on August 22nd.
