This makes no sense on any level, aside from Gerard noting that there's a great amount of New Jersey pride in both bands. But what a melding of fans that will be!

The shows run from October 25th to November 10th, at the new Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.

Of the shows, Gerard said:

Growing up in Jersey isn't like growing up anywhere else; there’s an amazing amount of pride involved. To be asked to open up for New Jersey's own Bon Jovi at the grand opening of the Prudential Center is an amazing honor. It’s more than anything a group of kids from the Garden State could ever ask for.

The more logical opening bands on the other night include:
Daughtry, Big & Rich, Gretchen Wilson, and also oddly, the All-American Rejects.

My Chemical Romance will be opening on October 25th and 26th.

Tickets are on sale at Ticketmaster.com. Warning: decent-ish seats [Mezzanine] are over $100. I just almost shit a squirrel, upon attempting to buy tickets for my sisters and myself. That's not even floor -- that's seats!
