It appears the band is aiming to get themselves a nice cruise ship, pull up to a port, open the back of the ship, and play for people. Unfortunately for those of us not living on the Mediterranean coast, this means little to nothing for us, as the band will be doing it there. Touring by sea, though, with all the equipment loaded on to a boat sounds about ten thousand times easier than loading in and out of a venue every night... clever boys.
Dom Howard said of the possible tour, "We see ourselves rocking up to a port in a nice town, opening the back of the boat and doing the gig. Then closing it up and going off to the next town - touring by sea."
And why the hell not? Why shouldn't Muse rock the seas? Iron Maiden have their own plane, and I think they were getting a bit uppity about it. So now Muse are getting their own ship. I'm only concerned this will lead to a battle of the "creative tours" and we somehow end up with a Hinder tank or a Nickelback submarine.
...though the latter doesn't actually sound so bad.
