At Mogwai's London show last night, the band was joined on stage by Aidan Moffat of Arab Strap, and the show was watched by both Kevin Shields and Didz Hammond.
Aidan Moffat, who has been rather quiet lately, appeared to sing, "Are U Still In 2 It?," providing an air of authenticity to the performance, as he handled vocal duties on the album version.
The band's set, which kicked off the Somerset House Summer Series, played like a career retrospective, featuring songs from their debut EP to their hits like "Friend of the Night" and "Hunted By a Freak."
Unofrtunately, despite catching Kevin Shields of My Bloody Valentine being there, nobody was able to pin him down and find out what's going on with the supposed new My Bloody Valentine album -- which he started talking about again earlier this year.
