In a bit of "seriously, this hasn't happened yet" news, Mick Jagger is about to release his own greatest hits collection, The Very Best of Mick Jagger, due on October 2.
The release spans Jagger's solo career beginning in 1970 through the current day.
Bono, David Bowie and Peter Tosh, among others, are all featured on the 17-track album. Other special tracks include three previously unreleased recordings, one of which is a John Lennon-produced track from 1973 in LA, "Too Many Cooks (Spoil The Soup)."
Rick Rubin snags production credits for the other two unreleased tracks, both being from Jagger's "Wandering Spirit" sessions - meaning they were recorded in the early-‘90s.
