Matchbox 20 to Release Greatest Hits Album

Matchbox 20 is putting out a greatest hits album in October. Sort of.

According to antiMusic, Matchbox 20's new album, Exile on Mainstream, will be a combination of a new album and a greatest hits collection. It will be a double album, with disc 1 consisting of six new songs and disc 2 comprised of eleven greatest hits.

First off, I don't think my dentist's office will be able to handle this much Matchbox 20. Secondly, I wonder how this will go over. Obviously Matchbox 20 has received a mixed reception throughout their career. It's been a few years since we last heard from the band. Have the critics come around? Have the fans started to fade? We'll see.
