Mandy Moore has a new album, Wild Hope, coming out next week. Aquagirl recently spoke with USA Today to promote the album and talk about how her career has changed over the years.
For starters, she's a dork. Check out this quote from the article:
"We would stay up until midnight or 1 recording," says Moore, who "usually starts to fade around 10:30. So after that, I would be like, 'I'm cooked,' and I'd go to bed. And the next day I would hear, 'Oh, you missed the best jam session.' Because the rest of the band would have stayed up and had this great hootenanny."
She was serious when she said the word "hootenanny," too. In addition to her new album, which Moore hopes will appeal to an older crowd -- i.e., 23 and up -- she will also star in the upcoming film Wed, alongside Robin Williams and Jim from "The Office."
Now, on to the sad news. You will never see Mandy Moore naked. That's because Moore refuses to do nude scenes in movies. Yeah, even if it's tastefully done.
"It would be completely uncomfortable to walk down the street and know that the person passing by had seen me without my clothes on," she says. "I've turned down several roles where the producers or directors or writers wouldn't budge on that point."
Wait, what was that last thing she said? I stopped paying attention after the "no nude scenes" part.
Here is Moore's latest single, "Extraordinary."
Here is an, umm, unofficial "pop-up video" for Moore's song "Candy." I never knew that was Scarlett Johansson on the swing. Weird.
