Sunday was all about the blazing sun and hammered Pearl Jam fans -- a hilarious combo. So hilarious, indeed, that I believe I saw the second drunkest dude of my life wearing a Ten Club shirt and nearly barfing on everyone in his path.

To the music...

The Black Angels

Alex Mass' distinctive voice coupled with the rest of The Angels' dark melodies to make for one of my favorite sets of the fest.

The Kings of Leon

Even though The Kings are pretty big d-bags, their music can be quite enjoyable. The songs off of their most recent, Because of the Times, sounded excellent live.

The crowd really shat their pants when Eddie Vedder came on for KOL's encore:

They're "good friends"?

!!!

Nic Offer danced like the crazy mofo that he is as !!! attempted to bring their clubby show outdoors. It didn't work quite as well, but, hey, !!! is always at the very least "good" live.

My Morning Jacket

MMJ brought with them the Chicago Youth Orchestra, purple tuxedos, and a huge crowd. Always amazing live, the Southern boys didn't disappoint...even with Jim James' trimmed locks.

TV on the Radio

After seeing them two previous times, I can say that they just keep getting better and better live. The sound was crisp and clean; they're well on their way to doing their studio work justice.

Pearl Jam

The main event of the weekend brought plenty of people to the stage. Vedder brought grumblings about BP Amoco, a visit from an Iraqi War veteran, Ben Harper guesting on "Rockin' in the Free World," and Dennis Rodman -- who put PJ's main man on his shoulders. It was a blast to hear (not necessarily see) them play live again as they made everybody realize why they were the ones at the top of the bill.

Etc.

This dude was flying his bird the whole weekend:
