LeAnn Rimes says her new single accurately describes her life in small town Mississippi. "Nothing Better to Do," which she co-wrote with her husband Dean Sheremet, describes a setting where there's nothing to do but get bored and get in trouble.

"I grew up in a small, backwoods kind of town in Mississippi. Literally, there was a shop across the street that only sold bait and bullets. We kind of wrote the song about what might have happened if I never got out. It's a part of my personality that people don't usually see. It's fun to be able to come out through the music," Rimes said.

Truth time. LeAnn moved away from Mississippi when she was five-years-old, which means she didn't exactly grow up there. Now, as a former employee of a tire warehouse in Pearl, Mississippi, where LeAnn lived, I can attest to the accuracy of this song.

On the other hand, Pearl does have a Sonic with a batting cage, which is always an incredibly wonderful alternative to trouble.

Moving along, LeAnn shot the video for the song at a Tennessee State Penitentiary that closed in 1992. Check it:
