Justin Timberlake was on "Oprah" yesterday, talking about the hazards of celebrity life while wooing all the middle-aged women in the audience. Timberlake appeared as part of a tribute to Reba McEntire, but he also sat down with Oprah for a ten minute interview.

The portion of the interview that's causing buzz today is when Oprah brought up the subject of Britney Spears. Timberlake admitted to having not spoken with Spears in "6 or 7 years." He then praised Spears for being a great person, and told Oprah he didn't have any inside information for her.

"I don't know, to be honest with you. I haven't spoken to her in years," said Timberlake. "I mean, there's no ill will-I have nothing but love for her. We were teenagers, you know? I think that's basically the best way to describe what happened to us. I think she's a great person, and I don't know her as well as I did. I dated her when I was a teenager."

Oprah then asked if Britney had suffered a mental breakdown, to which Timberlake responded, "What I can say about [that]? What I do know about her is she has a huge heart and she is a great person. I don't know. I got nothin' for ya, I don't know."

So in other words, he doesn't know anything about Britney whatsoever. He probably forgot to check in with her because he's been too busy banging every other girl in Hollywood. Having seen it on YouTube earlier, the Britney question was the least interesting part of the interview, but that's what everyone is paying attention to because, well, it's Britney Spears.
