Journey has split with Jeff Scott Soto, who had been filling Steve Augeri's shoes since July of 2006. According to a press release from the band, they were simply ready to go in a different direction and there are no hard feelings.
"We appreciate all of Jeff's hard work and we can't thank him enough for stepping in when Steve Augeri got sick last year. He did a tremendous job for us and we wish him the best. We've just decided to go our separate ways, no pun intended. We're plotting our next move now," said guitar player Neal Schon.
The remaining members of the group plan to take the rest of the year to relax, hang with their fams, write new material and plot their next move.
