Keyboard player for Journey, Johnathan Cain explained the band's seperation from singer Jeff Scott Soto and wished the singer the "best of luck." Y'know, just not in their band. Thanks to Blabbermouth for the report.
"We just wanted to move in a different direction sonically. We're interested in our legacy right now. We want to sound like our records and we want to sound like the 65 million units that are out there," Cain said. Cain's basic point was that Journey was popular once and probably never will be again, or something similar.
Soto replaced Steve Augeri in the middle of Journey's tour last July and by December they had named him as their permanent singer. What job do you apply for when you have six months singing for Journey on your resume? I'm guessing you apply for something that has to do with the service industry.
