They just keep getting younger and younger. Josh Turner is the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry, after being invited to join Saturday, and at 29-years-old, he'll be one of the younger members. Vince Gill will induct him on October 27.

Turner made his Opry debut back in 2001 and played "Long Black Train," which would go on to become his breakthrough hit. After his debut album sold a million copies and its follow-up went platinum, it was time for the Opry to recognize.

Opry invites country singers based on the frequency of their appearances and overall contributions to country music.

Also, be on the lookout for Turner's next album this fall. The first single, "Firecracker," is available to stream from Turner's MySpace.
