You know, when The Milk-Eyed Mender first came out, Bjork was mentioned nearly every time someone brought the album up. Now that Joanna Newsom has more or less gotten her Bjork-ism jollies out, she'll be hitting the road with Mrs. Matthew Barney for a couple of dates in support of Bjork's Volta, out on May 7/8.
So far Newsom is only booked for two dates on the tour but there may be more to come. Hopefully the shows will boast a couple of duets, which could cause the Universe to implode (look it up, it's scientific).
Also, Bjork will perform on Saturday Night Live this weekend. Scarjo hosts. Maybe the two will pair up and give us a sneak-peak at those Tom Waits covers Scarlett is working on? Doubtful.
