Jake Owen wants his fans to know that he's got multiple sides, including 'serious' and 'fun-loving.' That's right, Owen says he wanted to prove his serious side to people with his latest single. Owen recently spoke with the Palm Beach Post about his dual nature.
"I'm a very serious person and I think about a lot of things. 'Starting with Me' relates to a lot of people, as far as what they've done in their lives. You get to see both sides of the spectrum. I wanted to make sure when I wrote the record that there was a song on there for everybody."
One of those 'things' Jake thinks about is partying. In contrast to his new single, Owen's first song was called "Yee Haw." Owen said he basically wanted to let people know that he partied.
"I wanted my first impression for people to see what I like to do. I wrote that song about having a good time, forgetting the work week, going out and having a couple of beers with your friends, and girls. I'm 25 years old, so that's my lifestyle. You got to see a side of me that was fun-loving and kind of careless."
