Maybe Jack made Dylan's performance better than, well, scratchy, old sandpaper voice time.
White, who has a lot of free time on his hands for some reason (just kidding: get well soon, Meg, and by soon, I mean last week when I was supposed to see you in concert), joined the folk hero/film subject onstage last night in Nashville to perform "Meet Me in the Morning." The song, taken from one of Dylan's classics -- Blood on the Tracks, had never been performed live before. Ever.
On the way out of the concert, a fan (that I just made up in my brain) was overheard saying, "You wouldn't want to 'meet me in the morning' after a night spent shelling out 60 bucks for a Bob Dylan concert."
Dylan plays another date at the Ryman Auditorium tonight in Nashville. No word on whether or not White will show up.
