It looks like Ivory Mobley is leaving Showbread. Frontman Josh Dies
announced via the band's MySpace that Mobley would be leaving because,
as Dies put it, "Jesus told him, ‘Your work with Showbread is
finished.'"
Mobley was a co-lead singer alongside Dies.
Dies
says the band was in Miami, Florida when Mobley told him he'd be
quitting. He also says Jesus had spoken to Mobley clearly two other
times, once to tell him "Come and know me" and once to tell him "Go and
serve me with Showbread."
The band will continue without him.
Those among you who are quick with the mouse may have already noticed that the MySpace post has been diligently placed on Wiki.
And for the road, here's one more quote from Dies' blog entry:
"With
tears in his eyes he told me that he did not understand why his time
was ending, but he had to follow where his good Sheppard led him, and
my heart broke."
