Sean Fennessey over at Vibe.com raises the possibility that the lesser-seen Neptune, Chad Hugo, might be responsible for some of the production duo's more critically acclaimed work recently.

Sayeth the Fennessey:

"I suppose it's possible that Pharrell is the beat scientist and Hugo writes all those achy-breaky choruses. But I doubt. Particularly since the rumors that the Neptunes don't quite work in tandem anymore are always swirling. When I listened to Hell Hath No Fury for the first time, with Malice and Pusha T, both men made sure to credit Hugo when someone asked a question about ‘Pharrell's genius.' Pusha was indignant about Hugo's lack of credit on the project. A pretty telling moment."

If Hugo deserves even 55 percent of the credit for Hell Hath No Fury, he's being deliriously undersold. Here's hoping the Kenna sophomore joint goes triple platinum.

Need you hear these drums again?

Apologies, but Jive never made a video for "Trill."
