To the surprise of nobody but the mainstream press, which somehow thinks this was an upset -- and Amy Winehouse was "hotly tipped" to win. It was voted on my fans -- looks like they missed the dedication of Fueled By Ramen/Decaydance fans thing... and the whole Gym Class Heroes being one of the biggest acts around right now thing, as well.
The group beat out Amy Winehouse, as mentioned, as well as Lily Allen, Carrie Underwood, and randomly-thrown in Peter, Bjorn & John. It wasn't really shocking, but congratulations to the boys anyway.
Looks like Travis' YouTube video asking fans to vote for them worked, after all.
