A new concert series taking place in The Hamptons this summer will charge patrons $15,000 to see Prince, Billy Joel, Dave Matthews, James Taylor and Tom Petty.

The Wall Street Journal takes a look at Social, the new luxury concert lineup, today. Bulldog Promotions will launch the series in July in East Hampton, New York. A pass to all five shows will match the neighborhood's cost of living at $15,000 a seat.

The promotions company is looking to capitalize on concertgoers who would have paid such prices through after-sellers such as Stub Hub and who are looking for a little something extra in their concert-going experience. Read: not watching on in horror as you and your friends take some tear gas from the riot police in the parking lot of this year's DMB tour stop at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Jersey.

Amenities offered to pass holders will include celebrity chefs and nontraditional seating arrangements such as sofas and ottomans. The program is being limited to 1,000 audience members. The catch, of course, is that tickets to each individual concert will not be made available. So if you're looking forward to seeing Prince, you better be willing to sit through Billy Joel and James Taylor, or have a Boomer lined up who is willing to pay three grand a pop to take those tickets off your hands.

The Journal did some digging to estimate that each performer stands to see a seven-figure payday for their Social work.

In related news, a single ticket for the Dave Matthews Band's next U.S. date at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Illinois on July 8 sells for $65.
