Gnarls Barkley's breakthrough 2006 album St. Elsewhere was fueled by the massive hit single, "Crazy." However, with the band currently working on a follow-up, Danger Mouse says he's hoping to avoid another song as omnipresent as "Crazy." Apparently the band felt that "Crazy" overshadowed the rest of St. Elsewhere, and don't want the same thing to happen with this new album.

"No song is ever done until we have all the material together," Danger Mouse tells NME. "When we have enough songs to the point where we have an album's worth, then we'll go in and start finishing them together, so they have a cohesiveness to them, and we know where they fit with each other. Some of the songs may be exactly the same, and some may end up being very different."

No release date has been set, but Danger Mouse hopes to have the album in stores before the end of the year.
