Ok, so maybe the whole ‘leaving retirement' biz was a mangled truth rather than a complete rumor.
CMT reports today that Garth is about to release a new package that will include four new tracks, 30 hits and a DVD packed full with 33 videos in a three-disc set.
Word is that the album, The Ultimate Garth Brooks, will be out on Big Machine Records and will not be sold exclusively through Wal-Mart, like some of Brooks' previous output.
Big Machine is still not taking calls, or dishing any information, but one of the new tracks is supposedly a cover of Huey Lewis' "Workin' for a Livin'," which features Lewis on the mouth harp.
