Rapper Foxy Brown is headed to prison for a year after violating her probation with a series of legal run-ins recently. Foxy was accused of hitting a neighbor with a BlackBerry handheld device in mid-August and a week later of giving a false name and birth date to officers when pulled over for running a stop sign.

Friday morning Foxy apparently told the judge she was willing to do whatever was necessary to change but the judge sentenced her to a year anyway. She also called Foxy a "great actress."

If I were this judge, I'd be pretty careful when sentencing and name-calling a woman with the BlackBerry-to-skull charge, which supposedly caused swelling of the eye and loosening of the teeth. That's some intense contact.

MTV reported this quote from a spokesman:

She had a [previous] violation and pleaded guilty and got restored to probation [before]. So she had a chance. She just didn't obey a number of conditions. We told the judge that she was not compliant and the judge decided to terminate her probation and place her in jail.
