After what seemed like a long drought for female rappers, the genre seems to be heating up again. Eve recently spoke on one of her younger competitors.
She spoke with MTV News' Mixtape Monday crew about Lil Mama yesterday:
I think they're being smart with her career. When you're that young, you have people that dictate your life. So hopefully if you're trying to come out, stay unique. The thing I like about Lil Mama is that she's unique. She's not trying to copy anybody else that's out. You can tell her little style is her own little style.
Eve's Here I am is set to be released in August and Lil Mama is currently starring in the Avril Lavine "Girlfriend" remix video.
