Drowning Pool will be testifying in front of Congress within the next 6 months. No, the band will not be testifying about bodies hitting the floor; rather, they will discuss healthcare for veterans of the Iraq War.
"Once home in the United States, we connected with Iraq/Afghanistan war veterans who have returned home," said Drowning Pool bassist Stevie Benton, according to Blabbermouth. "Though back on safe shores, these individuals are facing a steep uphill battle to reclaim their health after facing the trauma of war."
He continued, "We are seeking an opportunity to testify before Congress on behalf of these troops and veterans who need mental, emotional and medical support services."
The band wrote a letter to Congress about the issue not too long ago, and that letter made it's way to the President personal reading file. Drowning Pool has also started an online petition to help get soldiers the healthcare they deserve. You can sign up at this link.
