Dierks Bentley is about to head out on the road again, this
time on the so-named Throttle Wide Open fall tour featuring Jack Ingram. The
tour begins October 4 and hits 28 cities in the process - all with Bud Light in
tow as the sponsor.
But those big corporate sponsorships aren't for him, they're
for you, so says Dierks:
It's not about putting money in your pocket. It's about putting money into
the show. We've gone from just being in a bus and a trailer to having two buses
and three semis. And there's just big expenses to go with us because we're
trying to put on a show that's bigger than what we actually are. The lighting
is much more expensive than I could probably afford just on my own, so they've
been a great partner. I drink beer anyway. It's something that I'm comfortable
with [laughs], so it's been a really great relationship so far.
