Dierks Bentley got busy behind the keyboard over the weekend and posted an update from the road on his MySpace blog. He was still fired up from his fourth of July show two nights prior.
He described the setting as, "definitely the coolest backdrop we've ever had! The whole trip was awesome...a great place to be for the fourth," Bentley said of Washington D.C.
He also got a chance to head to the Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam War Memorial, World War II Memorial, The Air and Space Museum and The Washington Monument.
But heads up, the sight seeing got Bentley doing a little political theorizing:
the lincoln memorial was definitely our favorite...i think he's the johnny cash of presidents. courageous in his faith, beliefs and actions. it sometimes seems like the media sometimes is really bent on trying to make the country feel so divided. i've never felt that way but i think that is because we are on the road all over the country getting our "news" from the source...people! not tv!!
