Dave Matthews to Play Benefit for Atlanta Park

As usual, Dave Matthews and his unworthy-of-a-name band have a big summer tour ahead of them. Dave gives his all at every show, but when looking at this summer's schedule, one show stands out a little bit from the rest.

On September 8th, DMB will play a show at Atlanta's Piedmont Park, along with "special guest" The Allman Brothers. The show will serve as a benefit for the park, which is a historic site in Atlanta.

According to a press release, proceeds from the concert will "aid in the enhancement and preservation of the park as a vital, urban green space offering cultural and recreational resources to all who visit."

Nothing says "urban" like Dave Matthews and the Allman Brothers. In all seriousness though, this park is a landmark of Atlanta, on par with Turner Field, Club One-Tweezy and the place where that guy was falsely accused of planting a bomb during the '96 Olympics. It's important that all you Hotlantans go out and support the cause.
