The Depeche Mode front man will be releasing his second solo album on Tuesday, October 23rd. Gahan says this album was his chance to "push the artist" in him, which sounds a bit dirty, but I think I know what he meant....

Concerning the album's content -- it's named Hourglass --, Gahan said:

I don't know if it's about age, just getting older...there's no longer the luxury of being able to get blind drunk every night and just hide behind that. My fear is that I've wasted so much time in fear, in fear of diving in. I feel like I'm racing against the clock."

Sounds uplifting, no?

The tracklisting is:

'Saw Something'
'Kingdom'
'Deeper And Deeper'
'21 Days'
'Miracles'
'Use You'
'Insoluble'
'Endless'
'A Little Lie'
'Down'

"Kingdom" is going to be the first single pulled from the album, and should hit radio [people still listen to that?] by the end of this month.
