Darryl Worley said he's surprised his latest single is moving up the charts. The song, "I Just Came Back From a War," was not expected to be the first single but Worley also said DJs basically just chose it themselves.

"To be perfectly honest with you, we didn't even think this song would make it to radio. We didn't release this song as a single. It released itself. It's similar to the way 'Have You Forgotten' wound up out there. We wrote this song and put it on the album because we wanted the troops to know we hadn't forgotten them, that we still think about them and pray for them," Worley said.

Here and Now, Worley's latest full-length, was supposed to be a raucous album to "shake up the crowds," and it is. So the single is an unlikely success for Worley. But Worley is popular with troops, especially since he's played for them in warzones. Worley's most recent tour, last December, took him to Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan.
