It looks like the LAPD wasn't as involved in the Notorious BIG's death as originally thought. Imagine that, more confusion in the Notorious BIG murder case.
An inmate now claims he lied when he said that two former cops were involved in BIG's 1997 murder. Not a good way to get out on parole dude. This is still probably a better look for Biggie than whatever Diddy's next move is going to be.
In August, inmate Waymond Anderson sat down for a deposition and said he was approached by another inmate to lie about the case in exchange for money from BIG's family's lawyer. Shaaaady. The dude also claimed that the family's attorney offered him money directly over the phone while BIG's mother apparently tried to offer $150,000 ... via another inmate.
Sounds like a trustworthy group of folks to me.
The family's lawyer denied allegations saying that he wasn't even employed by BIG's family until after Anderson and the other inmate were in prison together. He also fired back with some of his own accusations - that an LA Times writer influenced Anderson to whistle a new tune.
The whole thing wreaks of insanity to me. Here we are a little more than 10 years out from the legendary rapper's death, and this is how things play out? Bizarre.
