The Chili Peppers closed out Saturday night. NME reports:
After a grandiose introduction, the band played an opening volley of 'Can't Stop', 'Dani California' and 'Otherside'...
Perhaps paying tribute to the large number of dance acts on today's bill, the band also segued their cover of Stevie Wonder's 'Higher Ground' into a few bars of 'I Feel Love' by Donna Summer .
VH1 drooled all over the Arcade Fire, saying:
The highlight, however, and probably the highlight of the first two
days, was the Arcade Fire, whose monster roster, making friends and
enemies of instruments they must only play in Montreal, came together
to make epic jams.
With a neon-designed stage (inspired by the recently-released Neon Bible),
Win Butler led his army of musical misfits through material both new
and old, inspiring mass sing-alongs mirroring just the sort of cultish
moments the band seems to mock on the new album.

stereogum sums up:
Earlier in the day, we took in the ever-polarizing Kings Of Leon at the Coachella Stage, playing one of the fest's most acclaimed sets. The Followill boys were tight as always, opening with "Black Thumbnail," killing "On Call," and generally enjoying their moment in the mainstage sun. The Decemberists were well worth the walk to the Outdoor Theater, with Colin bedecked in a stylish seersucker suit, opening with "Crane Wife 3," shifting into the entirety of "The Island," and the Colbert Nation taunting "O! Valencia." Meloy instigated another dance contest. Also, there was a whale costume.
Check out Caleb from The Kings' vest:

!!! were one of the most talked about bnds at the fest, with stereogum saying they "brought fire to the desert."
Check out Nic's short shorts:

Apparently Peter, Bjorn and John even remembered the lyrics to their songs this time.

stereogum says that fans of The New Pornographers were in for a special treat:
"But..." continued Carl, "what you see behind you IS the new album's artwork!" Yay, something to blog about! Challengers' cover was designed by the absent Neko Case, displayed on a bright, color lightboard behind the Canadian supergroup.

Other fresh acts included Ghostface, Hot Chip, and LCD Soundsystem.
